​As an artist Martin's practice centers on sound and music, especially field recording and improvised composition, but extends into the visual through score writing and print making. Recent projects have been released by The Sonic Art Research Unit and published through Routledge. He has also completed commissions for a range of clients including Tate, the Barbican Centre and the BBC. ​

 

He teaches at Fukuoka School of Music.
