A Survey of the Marantz CP430 Stereo Cassette Recorder

Historically, field recordists have often attempted to preserve the authenticity of the recorded subject by remaining absent in the recording. This album is a reflection on that absence, a folding backward, finding first the presence of the recorder which reveals it's own field of possibility, at the hand of a recordist.

Recorded on two CP430s at various locations in Japan, 2016 - 2018
